The Healthy West Chicago Community Action Plan is filled with strategies and policies designed to increase healthy eating and physical activity within the community over the next decade. To measure our community’s success toward reaching these goals, we’ve been collecting data to measure against a set of success indicators.
Becoming a healthy community is not something that happens overnight. Our goal is to show sustainable progress. To that end, every two years we will develop a Community Health “Report Card.” The Report Card will grade our progress as we work towards improving the health of West Chicago. The first Healthy West Chicago Report Card was released after our first full year of implementation in the spring of 2017.
